Premium Plus eye examination
Our most thorough examination — a complete specialist examination supplemented by imaging of the optic nerve and the fundus blood vessels, with a follow-up and consultation if needed within one month.
What do you get?
- A complete specialist examination — subjective and computerised testing of visual acuity and prescription, eye pressure measurement, examination of the anterior segment (inflammation, cataract, degeneration) and the posterior segment (optic nerve, macula and blood vessels).
- Optic nerve imaging — using optical coherence tomography (OCT) – allows early detection of damage typical of glaucoma or other optic nerve diseases.
- Imaging of the fundus blood vessels — shows retinal changes such as those caused by diabetes, high blood pressure or macular degeneration.
- Free follow-up and consultation if needed within one month — for any questions after the examination or monitoring of treatment.
- A special price on glasses at Optika Paloma, in the same building.
Why is imaging important?
Many serious eye diseases develop silently. Half of people with glaucoma don’t know they have it, because the disease has no symptoms at first and damage to the optic nerve is irreversible. Imaging makes it possible to spot even the smallest changes earlier than an examination alone.

The images are kept on record, so at your next examination we can compare precisely and spot even the tiniest changes over time.
Who do we especially recommend it for?
- people over 40, as a baseline (first) examination
- people with diabetes — an examination at least once a year is recommended
- people with high blood or eye pressure
- if someone in your family has glaucoma
- people with a high prescription
- anyone who wants a complete picture of their eye health

How often?
As a guide, adults without symptoms should have an examination every 2–4 years between 40 and 54, every 1–3 years between 55 and 64, and every 1–2 years after 65. People with diabetes need an examination at least once a year. Your ophthalmologist will determine the exact interval for you based on your findings.
